A Procedure for Application of the Thiobarbituric Acid Test to Milk

Abstract

Summary A procedure for application of the thiobarbituric acid (TBA) test to milk is presented. Data reported illustrate the reprodueibility and applicability of the test and the influence on the results of factors such as the pH of the reaction mixture, heating time, method of measuring color and copper contamination.
