Template Synthesis and Structure of a Dinuclear Lead(II) Complex of Novel Macrocycle Derived from 2,6-Diformyl-4-methylphenol and 1,9-Diamino-3,7-diazanonane

Abstract

Abstract The reaction of 2,6-difomyl-4-methylphenol and 1,9-diamino-3,7-diazanonane in methanol in the presence of lead(II) ion forms a dinuclear lead(II) complex of a very rare macrocycle containing hexahydropyrimidine rings. The structure of the complex is determined by single crystal X-ray method.
