Abstract A microchromatographic procedure for highly sensitive analysis of proteins has been developed by using short capillary columns with reverse‐phase, ion‐exchange, and hydrophobic interaction sorbents. The high analytical mass sensitivity on the level of several nanograms was attained by the miniaturization of the column and the optimization of gradient steepness.
