Abstract

Differential cross sections for electron elastic scattering in mercury have been measured over the incident electron energy range 9 to 25 eV and the angular scattering range 10 to 120 degrees . The cross sections have been normalized to the absolute value of Holtkamp et al. (1987) at 25 eV and 60 degrees . The integral elastic cross sections and total excitation cross sections in the above energy range have also been obtained.
