Abstract

Abstract The reaction of aryl bromides with methoxymethyltributyltin in the presence of a catalytic amount of dichlorobis(triphenylphosphine)palladium was found to give arylmethyl methyl ether. The reaction is a novel aromatic methoxymethylation.
