Validación de la Escala de Depresión de Yesavage (versión reducida) en adultos mayores colombianos

Abstract

This investigation looks for to standardize the Scale of Depression of Yesavage (reduced versión) in noninstitutionalized the greater adults ofthe city of Cali pertaining to Centers Day.A sample of 5OO greater adults is satisfied, within who 416 are women and 84 are men, between the 60 and 96 years of age. The type of is methodologic since it comprises of the modality of validation of a test. For the standardization of the scale the measures of central tendency and the coefficients of correlation were used biserial point for each item. The coefficient of trustworthiness of the scale is of the 0,7268 indicating that scale GDS -15 items is highly confiable; 14 of the 15 items predict oderately construct of depression; nevertheless, from the psychological analysis the 15 items are pertinent to evaluate depressive characteristics
