Abstract 9‐Vinyladenine, 1‐vinyluracil, 1‐vinylthymine, and β‐methacryloyloxyethyl derivatives of uracil, thymine and adenine were polymerized and copolymerized with acrylamide, maleic anhydride, and vinylpyrrolidone in different solvents. The polymer‐polymer interactions were measured by a spectrophotometric method. Poly(9‐vinyladenine) gave a hypochromic effect with ribonucleic acid in aqueous solution.
