Traditional school geometry often introduces the angle concept to students by having teachers show visual examples on the blackboard. We propose a teaching sequence that breaks away from this “ostensive” method. We hypothesize that the angle concept may emerge from solving reallife physical problems, and that such activities are motivating and meaningful for children.
