Xylem Transport

Xylem Transport is a plant vascular transport process in which water and dissolved inorganic nutrients (xylem sap) move predominantly unidirectionally through xylem conduits from the roots to the aboveground organs, driven by physical forces such as transpiration-induced tension, root pressure, and capillarity within the continuous xylem pathway.
