Xylem Refilling

Xylem Refilling is a physiological process in vascular plants whereby embolized xylem conduits are restored to functional conductivity through the active removal of gas and the resumption of water transport, distinguishing it from passive refill mechanisms by its dependence on living parenchyma cells and osmotic-driven water movement.
