Wormhole Flow Control

Wormhole Flow Control is a flow control mechanism in high-speed interconnection networks that belongs to the class of flow control methods enabling per-flit or per-packet backpressure signaling, distinguished by its use of dedicated virtual channels to manage buffer allocation and prevent deadlock through localized, pipelined transmission without requiring end-to-end buffer reservation.
