Wavefront Diffraction

Wavefront Diffraction is a physical phenomenon in wave optics wherein the spatial configuration of a propagating wavefront is altered as it encounters an obstacle or aperture, leading to the bending and spreading of waves that deviates from rectilinear propagation due to the interference of secondary wavelets emanating from different points across the diffracted wavefront.
