Voltage-induced Deformation
Voltage-Induced Deformation is a phenomenon in dielectric elastomer actuation wherein mechanical strain or shape change occurs as a direct result of the application of an external electric field across a dielectric elastomer membrane, distinguished by the coupling of electrostatic forces with elastomeric material compliance to generate controllable, reversible deformation.
