Vocal Developmental Timing

Vocal Developmental Timing is a theoretical construct in the study of bird vocalization that specifies the temporal regulation of vocal learning and production milestones during an individual's ontogeny, distinguishing it from general vocal behavior by focusing on the sequence, onset, and duration of critical periods in the acquisition and refinement of species-typical vocalizations.
