Urban Continuum is a geographic and demographic construct that denotes a graded sequence of human settlements extending along a spectrum from densely populated urban cores to sparsely inhabited rural areas, distinguished by its emphasis on transitional, interconnected zones exhibiting mixed land use, socioeconomic integration, and diminishing gradients of urbanization rather than discrete settlement categories.
