Upconversion Luminescence

Upconversion Luminescence is a nonlinear optical process in which lower-energy photons are sequentially absorbed and converted into higher-energy emitted photons through multiple excited states in rare-earth-doped laser host materials, distinguishing it from conventional Stokes-shifted luminescence by its anti-Stokes emission mechanism.
