Underground Space Ventilation

Underground Space Ventilation is a subfield of ventilation and environmental control engineering that focuses on the planning, design, and operation of air supply and exhaust systems in enclosed subsurface spaces (e.g., tunnels, metros, underground cities, mines) to regulate air quality, thermal–humidity conditions, and smoke movement for health, comfort, and safety under the specific constraints of confined geometries and limited natural driving forces.
