Transit Experience is a construct in urban environmental experience research that denotes the holistic sensory, emotional, and cognitive encounter of individuals as they navigate urban transportation systems in the course of everyday life, distinguished by its focus on the qualitative immediacy and contextual embeddedness of mobility rather than merely functional or logistical aspects of transit.
