Tip Vortex Cavitation

Tip Vortex Cavitation is a type of cavitation that occurs when the pressure within the tip vortex shed by a lifting surface, such as a propeller blade, drops below the vapor pressure of the surrounding liquid, leading to vapor-filled core formation distinguished by its helical structure and location along the blade tip's trailed vortex.
