Thermogenic Adaptation is a physiological response mechanism by which an organism increases heat production through metabolic processes to maintain core body temperature in response to nutritional stress or environmental challenges, distinguishing it from other adaptive responses by its reliance on energy-dissipating pathways such as uncoupled mitochondrial respiration.
