Template Selection

Template Selection is a methodological process in template-based protein structure prediction that identifies the most suitable template(s) from a structural database by evaluating sequence or structural similarity to the target protein, thereby distinguishing itself from other modeling steps through its foundational role in guiding subsequent homology modeling, protein threading, or comparative modeling workflows.
