Symphonic Form

Symphonic Form is a structural framework in Western classical music that organizes a multi-movement orchestral composition through a hierarchically articulated sequence of tonal and thematic developments, typically comprising an opening sonata-allegro movement, a slow lyrical movement, a dance-related third movement, and a final rondo or sonata-based movement, distinguishing it from other instrumental forms by its scale, complexity, and cyclic integration of symphonic motifs.
