Sudden Unexplained Death Coding

Sudden Unexplained Death Coding is a mortality coding methodology that classifies deaths of sudden and unexpected nature in the absence of a definitive pathological or toxicological cause, distinguishing it from other cause-of-death coding systems by its reliance on clinical, circumstantial, and investigative exclusion criteria to assign standardized classification codes.
