Spliceosome Catalysis is a biochemical process in which the spliceosome, a dynamic ribonucleoprotein complex composed of small nuclear RNAs and associated proteins, catalyzes the sequence-specific cleavage and ligation of precursor mRNA to excise introns and join exons during nuclear pre-mRNA splicing.
