Sound Patterning

Sound Patterning is a form of poetic-phonological organization in which speech sounds and prosodic features are systematically arranged—through devices such as rhyme, alliteration, assonance, consonance, and meter—to create recurrent auditory structures that shape a text’s aesthetic, affective, and meaning-bearing effects.
