Solar Altitude is the angular elevation of the Sun above the horizontal plane, measured in degrees along the vertical circle from the horizon to the Sun’s center, distinguishing it from other solar angles by its reference to the local horizon and its role in determining insolation and shadow geometry in solar positioning systems.
