Site-specific Community Performance

Site-Specific Community Performance is a form of community-based performance practice in which collaborative, participatory dance and/or theatre work is conceived, developed, and presented in direct response to a particular non-traditional site, such that the physical, historical, and socio-cultural specificities of that place and its local community fundamentally shape the work’s content, form, and audience–performer relationships.
