Sign Language Interpreting is a mode of interpreting in which an interpreter mediates, typically in real time, between a spoken or written language and one or more natural sign languages (or between such sign languages), rendering meaning equivalently across auditory-vocal and visual-gestural modalities for participants who do not share a common language.
