Sheep Welfare is the branch of animal welfare science and sheep medicine that evaluates and promotes the physical health, psychological state, and behavioral needs of domestic sheep by ensuring freedom from pain, injury, disease, fear, and distress, facilitating the expression of species-specific behaviors, and providing conditions that allow for positive affective experiences and an overall good quality of life under human management.
