Shallow Convection Parameterization

Shallow Convection Parameterization is a physical parameterization method that represents the subgrid-scale effects of shallow convective clouds in atmospheric models by approximating their vertical transport of heat, moisture, and momentum, distinguishing it from deep convection schemes through its focus on lower-tropospheric, non-precipitating or weakly precipitating convective processes.
