Seyfert Galaxies

Seyfert Galaxies is a subclass of active galactic nuclei characterized by bright, compact nuclei exhibiting strong emission lines and hosting supermassive black holes accreting matter at high rates, distinguishing them from other extragalactic X-ray sources by their relatively low-redshift occurrence and prominent optical and ultraviolet continuum emission.
