About

Settler colonial studies is an interdisciplinary field of inquiry dedicated to analyzing the historical and ongoing structures, processes, and effects of settler colonialism. It investigates how settler societies are established and maintained through the dispossession and elimination of Indigenous peoples, the assertion of sovereignty over appropriated lands, and the reproduction of distinct settler social formations, critically examining the enduring nature of colonial power relations and informing decolonial thought and practice.
