Self-organized Criticality

Self-Organized Criticality is a dynamical systems theory paradigm in which complex systems naturally evolve toward a critical state characterized by scale-invariant behavior and power-law distributions without external tuning, distinguished from other critical phenomena by its intrinsic drive to criticality through local interactions and dissipation.
