Safe State Design
Safe State Design is a safety engineering framework that specifies the systematic structuring of process systems to ensure they transition into and remain in a predetermined, inherently low-risk operational condition upon detection of hazardous deviations, thereby distinguishing it from general control strategies by its exclusive focus on achieving and maintaining fail-safe configurations in functional safety and process safety control contexts.
