Return Flow Impacts
Return Flow Impacts is a hydrological and legal concept that denotes the effect on water availability and quality resulting from the portion of diverted water that returns to a water system downstream or to an aquifer, distinguishing it from consumptive uses by accounting for the spatial and temporal redistribution of non-consumed water in the context of water rights transfers.
