Red Flag Identification

Red Flag Identification is a clinical decision-making process in diagnostic reasoning whereby the clinician systematically elicits and recognises specific signs, symptoms, or contextual features that signal a higher probability of serious or emergent pathology, thereby distinguishing cases requiring urgent investigation, treatment, or referral from those suitable for routine or minor ailment management.
