Read-Write Locks is a synchronization primitive that belongs to the class of thread programming mechanisms and specifically allows concurrent access to a shared resource by multiple reader threads while ensuring exclusive access for a single writer thread, thereby differentiating it from standard mutual exclusion locks by supporting differentiated access modes based on operation type.
