Rag Scanning
RAG Scanning is a molecular mechanism in the context of V(D)J recombination that belongs to the class of site-specific recombination processes, distinguished by the scanning activity of the RAG complex (recombination-activating gene-encoded proteins) which interrogates chromatin for accessible recombination signal sequences to initiate T-cell receptor and immunoglobulin gene rearrangement.
