Preservation Of Error

Preservation of Error is a procedural doctrine in appellate law requiring a party to raise a specific legal objection or issue in the trial court in a timely manner so that it may be considered on appeal, thereby ensuring that the trial record is sufficiently developed and that adversaries and the court have an opportunity to address the claim.
