Photon Antibunching

Photon antibunching is a quantum optical phenomenon, belonging to the class of photon statistical effects, wherein the emission of photons from a single quantum emitter exhibits sub-Poissonian statistics characterized by suppressed probability of simultaneous two-photon emission, thereby demonstrating the particle-like nature of light at the single-emitter level.
