Passive Case Notification

Passive Case Notification is a surveillance reporting method in public health systems where healthcare providers or laboratories are required to report diagnosed cases of specific diseases to health authorities according to established regulations, but initiate reporting only upon their own recognition and documentation of the case, without active prompting from the surveillance system.
