Parental Rights
Parental Rights is a legal concept denoting the bundle of powers, privileges, and immunities vested in an individual by virtue of their parental relationship with a child, distinguishing it from other legal relationships through its foundation in familial status and its functional allocation of decision-making authority over the child’s upbringing, education, health, and welfare within the frameworks of juvenile law, special education law and policy, counseling law, and surrogacy law.
