P-process Nucleosynthesis

P-Process Nucleosynthesis is a nucleosynthetic mechanism, belonging to the class of stellar processes that produce heavy atomic nuclei, distinguished by its formation of proton-rich isotopes through the photodisintegration of pre-existing nuclei in high-temperature environments, typically during explosive stellar events such as supernovae or neutron star mergers.
