Oxidative Reduction Potential

Oxidative Reduction Potential is a measure of the tendency of a chemical species to acquire electrons and thereby be reduced, typically expressed in volts, that serves as an indicator of the redox status of a system, particularly in environments such as hydrogen sulfide faults where electron transfer processes govern sulfide oxidation and mineral precipitation.
