Osmotically Controlled Dissolution

Osmotically Controlled Dissolution is a dissolution-controlled release mechanism in which drug release is governed by the osmotic pressure-driven influx of water through a semi-permeable membrane, distinguishing it from diffusion- or erosion-based systems by its reliance on osmotic force to modulate the rate and extent of dissolution.
