Optical Waveguides

Optical Waveguides is a physical structure that confines and directs electromagnetic waves in the optical spectrum by means of total internal reflection, distinguished from other waveguiding systems by its operation at wavelengths characteristic of light and its reliance on dielectric materials with spatially varying refractive indices.
