Optical Map Validation

Optical Map Validation is a computational method used in genome assembly assessment that distinguishes itself by aligning experimentally derived optical maps—long-range restriction enzyme or labeling patterns of single DNA molecules—against in silico predicted maps from assembled sequences to verify structural accuracy and detect large-scale assembly errors.
