Operational Deflection Shapes is a measurement-based structural dynamics method that characterizes the steady-state spatial deformation pattern of a powertrain component or system under operating conditions by combining phase-synchronized response data with excitation frequency information to distinguish operational vibration modes from theoretical or idle-state behaviors.
