Open Innovation Diffusion is the process by which externally sourced innovations, knowledge, or technologies are systematically shared, adopted, and integrated across organizational boundaries within an innovation ecosystem, distinguished from traditional innovation diffusion by its emphasis on permeable boundaries, collaborative co-creation, and bidirectional knowledge flows between firms, users, and external partners.
