Off-Label Dispensing is the academic concept of a legally permitted pharmaceutical practice in which a pharmacist dispenses a medication for a purpose, dosage, or patient population not formally approved by regulatory authorities, thereby distinguishing it from on-label dispensing through its reliance on clinical judgment and emerging evidence outside official indications.
